4 week Bikram's Hot Yoga Course
Bikram Yoga is known as the original Hot Yoga, practiced in a room heated to 35 degrees and 40% humidity. The classes are 90 minutes long and involve a series of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises performed in the same sequence every time you enter the hot room. The benefits of Bikram Yoga are many including weight loss, increased lung capacity, improved muscle tone, improved sleep patterns, relief from seasonal allergies and injury prevention. The postures require lengthy and sustained contractions of all major muscle groups. The demanding nature of the poses and the heat are designed to raise your heart rate and exercise your muscles.
Classes are taught by senior teacher Lisa Wortman, certified in Los Angeles at Bikram's Yoga College of India in 2003, who strives to support each of her students to connect with their unique body through breath and mind awareness.
